Protein Structure and Sequence Analyser

Protein Structure and Sequence Analyser (PSSA) is a module developed to analyze the structure and sequence properties of proteins. The module aims to provide information pertaining to the nature of amino acids that make up a protein. At present, the module takes the PDB ID of the protein as the input and provides information about the number and nature (Hydrophobic, Polar, Charged) of amino acids and the secondary structure content of protein that make up that particular protein

The module has been developed as a joint effort between and my group here at IIT Gandhinagar and Dr. Manish Agarwal at IIT Delhi. My Ph.D. student Nitin Singh has contributed both with regard to software programming and web page development. Dr. Manish and I, conceptualized and supervised the module development.
